Like many professionals, Marie Hueston and her husband found it challenging to balance the demands of a young family with successful careers. Exacerbating the situation was a dearth of high quality early care and education centers in downtown Denver and the virtual absence of high quality care options during evening or weekend hours.

Well-versed in the challenges facing working parents, Marie, a former executive at US WEST and a handful of startup companies, decided to take matters into her own hands and open Family Flex, LLC, in spring 2005.

Offering care until 7 p.m. in addition to weekday care and education programs, Family Flex was designed to help today’s parents manage the demands for their time and energy while providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children.  Read more about our education philosophy.

Serving as the foundation for Family Flex’s educational efforts is the nationally renowned Creative Curriculum . The staff uses the Touchpoints communication philosophy, developed by Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, to help build strong relationships with parents.

Family Flex has additionally received the highest rating in the Qualistar Early Learning Rating.  The rating system assesses the learning environment, the classroom ratios and size, and the teacher education and experience. 

Located at 1005 Acoma Street in Denver’s Golden Triangle neighborhood, Family Flex is easily accessible from downtown.
