Family Flex’s infant program is available for children ages 10 weeks through 18 months.

Each of the three infant classrooms are staffed by three teachers and may accommodate up to nine children, which results in a 1:3 adult-to-child ratio. To enhance the caregiver-child relationship, Family Flex employs a looping philosophy, which means each infant will have the same teachers through the infant and toddler programs, until he or she advances to the preschool program.

Daily schedules are customized to meet the needs of each younger infant (ages 10 weeks through nine months), including diaper changes, naptimes, indoor and outdoor play (weather permitting) and dressing. Feeding plans and dietary requirements are also individualized, based on information provided by each infant’s parents.

The schedules for older infants (ages 10 months through 18 months) are more structured with specific times for snacks, lunch, naps and activities. Fun lessons incorporating stories and other learning materials are interspersed with physical activities designed to encourage use of motor development skills.

Serving as the foundation for Family Flex’s educational efforts is the nationally renowned Creative Curriculum. The staff uses the Touchpoints communication philosophy, developed by Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, to help build strong relationships with parents.

Full-time (Monday through Friday) tuition for infants is $1,300 per month. Part-time (three days a week) tuition for infants is $260 per week. Space permitting, drop-in care is available for $9.00 per hour per infant.
